General Description
This pretty cottage is situated in a tranquil hamlet outside the village of Moncoutant the 2nd sunniest part of France, and yet to be fully discovered. Built on one level, the cottage sleeps 4 and has been renovated to modern standards whilst still retaining original features such as wooden floors, an open fireplace, and shuttered windows in all rooms, making it very light and airy.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The main bedroom has wooden parquet flooring and is furnished in the French style, with a beautiful wooden wardrobe, solid wooden bed with new mattress, plus matching dressing and side tables. The twin bed room is just as large and has 2 French single beds, again with new mattresses.
The toilet is separate from the bathroom which has a bath, shower, bidet and sink unit

Living Areas
There is a spacious lounge which has a wooden floor plus a large rug, an open fireplace, 3 seater sofa plus sofa-bed, TV, Video, CD/tape player, and various indoor games.

Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen looks out onto the garden and has a new gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, cafetiere, double Belfast sink, dining table and chairs, many fitted cupboards, and a washing machine

Outside
The garden is private and fully enclosed with a large cherry tree for shade, flowers and herbs. Outside the kitchen door is a patio area - perfect for sunbathing or barbeques. The property is suitable for young and old alike and there is little traffic apart from the occasional tractor. A wooden bench seat can be used for outdoor meals and relaxer chairs are provided

Location
the cottage is surrounded by rolling French countryside, yet within easy access of the Vendee beaches, chateaux of the Loire, Poitiers/Futuroscope, lakes and forest. The quiet country roads make it ideal for cycling or walking, and there is a bar, bakery and large supermarket within 1 mile.
Being central to so many areas, it is also perfect for long term stays for house hunting or sampling the French laid-back way of life before taking the plunge!
Walking & cycling routes, there are many in the area & guides are available at the property. One walk can even be joined from the cottage
