Property Details

General Description
There are 4 apartments at Chateau de la Rocque, property numbers 430, 479, 499 & 558. Madura is a 1 bedroomed apartment on 2 levels which sleeps 2 persons, with tiled flooring to the ground floor and wooden flooring upstairs. On the 1st floor level there is a pretty balcony with views over the gardens.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The bedroom is on the upstairs level with lovely views over the gardens and chateau. The room is furnished with a double sized bed, bedside cabinets, lamps and mats, wardrobedrawers and chair. The bathroom is in fact a shower room with corner shower cubicle, wash handbasin and WC. It has a tiled floor and walls.

Living Areas
The living/dining/kitchen area is open plan. There is a central beam to the ceiling of this area, whi providing a cosy feel to the apartment it also gives a height restriction directly under the beam of 5feet 10 inches (175cms). The living area is furnished with wall lights, adding to the ambience, a settee, chair, coffee table, sideboard, TV/DVD.

Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen runs across the rear wall of the apartment with a small cottage window, which adds to the cosiness of this apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size cooker, fridge/freezer,microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and sufficientutensils, cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Swimming Pool
The pool measures 16m x 9m and is fences as required by french
law. The pool is set away from the apartment so as not to disturb
guests who may be relaxing outside their apartment. The pool
area is eqipped with sunloungers, side tables and parasols as well
as garden tables and chairs for `al fresco` dining.

Outside
The bathroom is in fact a shower room with corner shower unit , wash hand basin and WC with tiled floor and walls. outside there is a patio area to the side of the apartment with garden furniture. The shared pool is set away from the apartment in order not to disturb guests who may be relaxing outside their apartments. The pool measures 16m x 9m, is fenced as required by french law. The pool area is equipped with sunbeds, tables and parasols as well as garden tables and chairs for `al fresco` dining. There is a BBQ for guests use.

Location
Madura is located in a converted outbuilding which is set in 25 acres of a 19th century chatea. There are centuries old trees and plenty space for guests to enjoy. The chateau is located in a village with all amenitie, including 2 bars/restaurants and a village shop for your everyday needs. Our nearest town is Dax, Frances premier spa town. The nearest beach is 20 minutes away at Capbreton , Biarritz is 30 minutes, Spain is a mere 45 minutes and Bordeaux 1 hour.

Changeover Details
Changeover day is Saturday with arrival time after 4pm and departure time by 10am. We do request a returnable damage deposit of £100 per apartment. Baby equipmentcot (including bedding) highchairs, pushchais are available free of charge but need to be reserved at time of booking in order to ensure availability.

Extra Details
All linen including tea towels and towels (excluding beach towels) is providede. Each apartment is equpped with a hairdryer. A complimentory welcome basket awaits guests and is filled with fine regional products as well as some everyday items. There is a games room for guests enjoyment with table tennis, football table, darts, tennis equipment, cricket equipment, bicycles as well as a selection of games books and toys. We also have a selection of DVD`s for guests use.
