General Description
Chez Petitbois is a handsome village house of some 150 years old. This spacious, airy accomodation with generous gardens and large private swimming pool is amazing. Quality house and exclusive swimming pool for this price are rare!

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
This solid stone built house has 2 large double bedrooms and a good sized twin room, each bedroom is upstairs on the first floor. All are tastefully furnished and individually styled. The twin room has a third bed which pulls out from under one of the singles to allow the house to sleep 7 altogether. This can make this room seem a little "nipped" but the kids love it! As a twin, it has space a plenty. (Gosh!! this is an honest advert isn`t it?)
To the cleaning bits! Upstairs we have a shower room complete with a shower cabinet, W.C. and vanity unit sink.
Downstairs there is an individual W.C. as well as a seperate bathroom with shower over and vanity unit sink. Bath and hand towels await and are included.

Living Areas
Chez petitbois has a very large lounge dominated by it beautiful old original stone fire place. The comfortable leather suite and UK/local TV, CD, DVD and video player help to fill the in house hours along with the many books and games dotted about to entertain you.
The dining room is in fact the houses large front hallway but comfortably seats six plus at a beautiful rustic wooden table.

Kitchen / Dining
The dining room is also the house`s large front hallway which comfortably seats six plus at a beautifully solid rustic wooden table with the most solid but comfortable old chairs you ever tried to lift. The dining room also has it`s own stone fireplace, almost baronial.
The house kitchen is light, spacious, airy and French. It comes equipped with all you need for a family holiday at any time of year. Patio doors open on to a private inner courtyard and stone BBQ/eating area.

Swimming Pool
Chez Petitbois has an 8 metres by 4 metres open air swimming pool with a large sun patio and lawned gardens alongside.

Outside
Chez Petitbois has a small lawned front garden overlooking the village green and stunningly pretty twelfth century church.
To the rear of the house is a sheltered shady courtyard patio and it`s furniture with a stone BBQ and it`s own grape vines draping the walls , help yourself!!.
To the rear of this enclosed patio is the large back garden, the first part laid to a big patio then to lawn surrounded by numerous fruit trees (just help yourself) and shrubs with a super large patio and it`s sun loungers, table tennis table, chairs and table furniture. The top of the garden is an 8m x 4m swimming pool, It`s yours exclusively during your holiday.

Location
Chez Petitbois, opposite the village of Tanzac`s beautiful 12th century church in the heart of this very small very pretty very sleepy Charente-Maritime village. The village is surrounded by vines, wildlife and good walking country. There are no shops or businesses in Tanzac to disturb you, it is totally rural and idyllic, the baker delivers six days per week and the butcher twice, however, the town of Gemozac is only 4 minutes or 4 kms drive away and has supermarkets, shops, weekly market, takeaways, cafés and restaurants. You really have the best of both worlds with peace on the door step and commercial life within 5minutes drive. The forty miles of the Charente-Maritimes glorious sandy beaches start only 25 minutes drive away. The A10 Paris to Bordeaux junction 36 is 8 minutes drive away. Within 10 to 60 minutes drive, you have more beautiful and historic places to visit than you will see in one holiday including Cognac, Saintes, Talmont sur Gironde, Royan, Pons, Jonzac, La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, Ile de Oleron, Fort Buoyard, The Medoc, Blaye and so many more. Changeover Details
To reserve your holiday, we only need £100 per week deposit and the balance is paid just four weeks before you travel. We take a small cash deposit when you arrive which we return in cash as you leave, usually intact but less any breakages or excessive cleaning costs. Check in and out are at 4pm and 10am respectively but this is flexible to suit you. Give us a call now!
Change over day is Saturday in July and August for sure but we`re often as flexible as you need outside this high season.
