Location
The "Ancien Couvent " in the heart of the picturesque medieval village of Cahuzac, dominating the valley of Dropt in the borders of the Dordogne and the Lot-et-Garonne, is situated to 3 km of Castillonès on the circuit of bastides and castles of Guyenne.
In 25 km of Bergerac ( purple Périgord) this village saw staying in its walls two of the biggest writers of our literature: Rabelais in the XVIth century and Rochefoucauld in the XVIIth.
Of this past there are the vestiges of the ancient Castle having belonged among others to the family La Rochefoucauld.
