General Description
Visit the picturesque Perigord/Dordogne Region year round and stay in a traditional Stone Farmhouse with a breathtaking valley view. Your 1 bedroom Gite is located on a quiet semi-private single lane road, nestled amongst the idyllic countryside, in a hamlet of 18th c stone Perigordian farmhouses. The Pool, Jacuzzi, and sundeck are situated in the tranquil orchard, surrounded by grass, trees and flowers. Only 2 km is the dramatic Chateau de Hautefort! A magnificent 17th C Chateau that rivals those in the Loire Valley. Nearby are prehistoric sites, medieval villages, and castles. After a day of touring the sites, relax and enjoy the serene valley views from your terrace or the pool!

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The lovely 1 bedroom has a double bed, and large windows that enjoy views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Living Areas
The charming 1 bedroom house, has a large working fireplace in the livingroom, sofa sleeper, TV, DVD, CD, and WIFI. There is a large library and DVDs available.

Kitchen / Dining
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a family meal together. Stove, Oven, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffeemaker, Toaster, etc...The dining area seats 4.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 9.5m x 4.5m. It has a large sundeck with lounge chairs and tables. The Jacuzzi, seats 8, is open year round. Relax in the hot water under the stars!

Outside
The large acreage has the pool, jacuzzi, and children`s play area with swings, slide, and raised fort. There is open space to run, as well as games and sporting equipment. Volleyball, badminton, ping-pong etc.., For days when the weather isn`t perfect there is a inside game room, with ping-pong, weight lifting, and board games.

Location
2km to the magnificent Chateau de Hautefort. This dramatic castle is perched upon a hill, and is famous for its gardens. The prehistoric caves at Lascaux are 15 minutes away. There are 1001 Castles in the Dordogne, a region that is steeped in history. Visit sites from the 100 years war, Richard the Lionheart, and Roman ruins.

Changeover Details
Summer high season is weekly rentals Saturday to Saturday. Spring and Fall are lovely and you can chooose your arrival day and length of stay. Winter is a wonderful time to sit in front of the fire and relax with a good book.
